Summer Camp 2010

Our Goal is to Make This the Best Summer Music Camp Ever Held in SLO County!

Our hope is to provide an intensive jump start for every student. Students will have intensive music lessons for 2 hours a day, and be required to go home and practice at least an additional 2 hours a day. At the end of every session, the student will take home a CD of the music they have created.

Curriculum

Session I :

Every day the students will learn one instrumental part to a song they choose from our list.*

On Mondays they will learn the Piano/Keyboard Parts. On Tuesday they will learn the drum parts. On Wednesday they will learn the guitar and bass parts. On Thursday they will learn the vocal parts. And... on Fridays, they will learn how to record all of the parts and create the song in a real recording studio!

The second week will be spent polishing up the instrumental parts learned in the first week, and recording them all. On the last Friday, the students will learn how to mix down their recordings and create a CD to take home! We will have a concert that evening for the students to present their work to their family members.

We will have a limited amount of loaner instruments for students to take home when they are practicing instruments they don't own.

Cost of Summer Camp

There will be a maximum of only 6 students per class. Total cost per session is $330, plus a $15 materials fee.

Enrollment and More Information

Students will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Camp is open to students from 4th grade through 12th grade.

Email: teveldenewstudents@gmail.com for more information or to hold a spot. You can also call: (805) 474-1224. We will accept students grades 4-12.

* Beginning students will learn the basics of playing the parts to their chosen song each day. Depending on how well they learn the parts, they may have the opportunity to choose a second song the second week. If their song is not completed, they will work on polishing it up during the second week.
