Group Pre-School Classes

Mommy & Me Preschool Music for Toddlers, Ages 2-3

Children will have a general music class, enjoying various musical activities in a fun, relaxed environment. This class will engage in lots of singing, storytelling in song, and other creative musical activities. Class will be taught by a master teacher, experienced with working with very young music students.

Mommy & Me Preschool Music for Pre-Schoolers, Ages 4-5

Children will work with a music teacher, learning to identify individual notes, and singing the pitch names to stimulate the development of Perfect Pitch. This class will engage in musical activities including a little "band" for kids, with various pre-school percussion instruments, and other physical activities like dancing to the beat. Children will start learning to read individual notes, identify notes on the piano, learn about note values, work on telling hands apart, and identifying finger numbers. They will also learn the basics of differentiating between low and high notes, long and short notes, loud and soft notes, black and white notes on a piano, and start playing songs. They will start identifying musical symbols on flash cards, and learn to draw them and color them in class.

We will be adding descriptions of the rest of the classes over the next few weeks.
