CHOIR GOALS:
To teach children how to sing properly.
This includes learning about correct breathing, producing a nice tone quality,
and developing the skill of singing on pitch.
To teach the choir to sing as a group, introducing
simple and complex harmonies, and interesting melodies and variations.
To create a fun and educational environment,
that focuses on confidence building in the individual singers as well as the
group.
To give children the opportunity to give
back to the community, and to share their gifts with elderly patients.

Auditions
Auditions will be held during the last week of August,
by appointment. The whole purpose for the audition, is to talk to the student,
hear them sing, and make sure they are vocally healthy. It is a low stress,
low pressure meeting with the choir director, and not intended to exclude
anyone from the main choir. Children are encouraged to just sing a song like "twinkle
twinkle little star", etc. Students may audition with a friend if they
are too scared to do it alone.
If your student would like to be considered for the Honor
Choir, or as a Soloist, you must audition with a song. We recommend that students
who want a solo take a voice class, so they are familiar with correct breathing
and tone production techniques. Please click here to
contact us about auditions, group voice lessons, or just joining the general
choir.
